Emmanuel is a certified project manager and has delivered numerous projects for the ESF over the past decade. As an expert business developer in European Framework calls, he specialises in interdisciplinary projects.
He oversees ESF’s participation in EC-funded projects related to space, as well as the administration of ESF-hosted Scientific Platforms, such as the 2024 Europlanet Research Infrastructure, the Europlanet Society, the European Astrobiology Institute, the European Space Sciences Committee, European Space Agency projects. Emmanuel also serves as the Executive Scientific Secretary for the European Space Sciences Committee.
He holds a PhD in Astronomy from University of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK), a MA in Space Studies from the International Space University (Strasbourg, France), and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from University of Crete (Greece). He is a faculty member of the International Space University, where he delivers lectures on planetary science and scientific project management. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Strasbourg, focusing on project management, and a certified project manager with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
